
The Case for More Equitable and Community-Engaged Research to Address FirearmRelated Violence in Black and Brown Communities
This report makes the case for the importance of more equitable and community-engaged research to address gun violence and the need to invest in and grow the field of Black, Brown, and historically underrepresented scholars committed to centering equity in the research process. Drawing on existing literature and the Collective's professional experiences, this report provides the rationale and motivation for the B&B Collective. It also proposes a set of concrete action items and recommendations for the B&B Collective and other stakeholders in the gun violence prevention field, which they believe can meaningfully advance safer communities
