Gun companies have profound effects on American life, but their inner workings rarely receive independent scrutiny. This is your chance to go behind the scenes with journalists who are bringing sunlight to the firearms business  and its lobbying groups, producing reporting that’s sparking real accountability. Join our friends at The Trace in conversation with Editor in Chief Tali Woodward, The Trace’s Mike Spies, Champe Barton, and Ava Sasani will share what they’ve learned from investigating gun industry, bringing the audience inside stories that have broken new ground on product safety, marketing strategies that can stoke violent extremism, policy agendas that leave even gun owners more fearful, and federal contracts that are offering gun companies a windfall from ICE’s deadly immigration crackdown.
